Sheet 03 / About

About me.

By day I manage strategic partnerships at one of the big cloud companies. On my own time, I build.

Before that I served in the Space Force, and I'm retired from it now. I was a space operator. I was part of the space launch ground crew at Cape Canaveral, and I commanded a crew of satellite operators in Colorado.

I've always built things with my hands too: a fire table, a hallway table, the wall our TV and fireplace hang on. My wife and I have flipped 13 homes.

I've wanted my own software company forever. I had a ton of ideas and no way to afford building them. In mid-2025 I started building with AI.

The first thing I built was Mobius One, a revenue tool. It went well. Then my cofounder lost interest, and I didn't know finance well enough to carry it alone, so I moved on.

I tried a few more ideas after that. Each one taught me something. The biggest lesson was that building is the easy part. Getting a product in front of customers is the hard part, and that's what I'm working on now.

So I've narrowed it down to four. I want to build a company, and I want my family to see me finish something outside my day job.

Wood and software

They start the same way. You get an idea, you plan and research, then you build. And both give you the same reward: you get to look at the thing you made.

The difference is what you can see. With wood I can see every step. With software I only see the screen, which is a tiny piece of what's there.

And I used to build for my own house. Now I build hoping other people will use it.

How this site was made

Designed and built by my homie Claude, in code. Direction, photos and the stories are mine.

Every drawing on it is drawn in code too. The handwriting on the Kindle is really mine.
